Rick Ross has finally addressed the now confirmed rumors that he was once a correctional officer. Speaking exclusively to Phoenix, Arizona Hip-Hop station Power 98.3 Ross said he was nothing but a victim of a massive smear campaign. “Straight out of Miami, straight out of M-I-Yayo. One of my closest homies was on America’s Most Wanted.”

Rumors that Miami rap star Rick Ross was once a correctional officer have been confirmed, after TheSmokingGun.com released records proving the allegations. According to the records, Ross graduated from the Florida Department of Corrections training academy and was a C.O. from 1995-1997.

Shawty Lo has shot down rumors that he was recently involved in an altercation at T.I.’s Club Crucial, the rapper denying he had his chain snatched. “It really wasn’t nothing, just some Bowen Homes sh*t.
