Associates of G-Unit rapstar Tony Yayo have been arrested by police in Queens, after officers staged a sweep of the Blood street gang. Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher and Robert “Dead Eye” Baley, two outspoken members of the G-Unit camp, were both arrested. The two have been under suspicion for sometime.

Luda will be painting handball courts, picking up litter and pruning back overgrown areas in the park. Hip Hop pioneers Afrika Bambaattaa and The Beastie Boys have been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Nine artists have been nominated but only five will be inducted. Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five are still the only Hip Hop act to be inducted into the hall.
Jay-Z yesterday confirmed that he is 12 songs deep into his upcoming conceptual album American Gangster. But the Jiggaman says he is in “such a zone right now” that he expects to add a couple more songs to the album before he calls it finished. American Gangster hits stores November 6.

An inmate who previously swore the LAPD was involved in the murder of Notorious B.I.G. has retracted his testimony, accusing the Wallace family of bribery. Waymond Anderson said he gave false testimony after he was promised a percentage of any settlement the Wallace family received. The Wallaces have denied such claims.

The Game yesterday plead not guilty to three felony charges, including criminal threats, possession of a firearm in a school zone and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of a police officer. The charges come after a fight broke out over a basketball game earlier in the year. If convicted, Game could face five years prison time.
West Coast icons Snoop Dogg and The Game are set to appear alongside one another in VH1’s new series “Bridging The Gap.” The show focuses around collaborations between rappers from different eras. Eve and Queen Latifah will also appear in the first episode. “Bridging The Gap” premiers next Monday (Oct 1) on VH1.
